My name is kortney, with a K
My mom thought she was being unique or something when she named me
I’m 27 years old and from a very small town in the middle of Wisconsin. The kind of small town where everyone knows your business and there is quite literally a drive your tractor to school day.
I have been dating the same guy since I was 16. His name is Paul, he’s funny and he’s 6’5 so that’s clearly why I keep him around.
I’m a registered nurse - I went to a small private nursing school in Wisconsin where I graduated with my BSN and more importantly met my four best friends. I love them more than anything and I am truly at my happiest when they’re around.
I’ve been a nurse for six years now in a neuroscience ICU. It’s where people go when they have strokes, brain bleeds, traumatic brain injuries and various other brain emergencies. I love being a nurse, it’s my calling. But I also love writing, which lead me to start this blog.
In 2018, Paul and I decided that we needed to see life outside of Wisconsin. So we packed up all our stuff, quit our jobs and moved to New York City. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
So to get to the point, I’ve done some moderately cool things in my quarter of a century on this earth - and I’m going to write about them. Enjoy!
